The Importance of Install Condensate Water Bend Correctly

Date:2018-08-22 Air cooling and dehumidification through the heat exchanger of air conditioning unit will produce a large amount of condensate on the surface of the heat exchanger. This condensate must be effectively collected and removed. The condensate is collected in a water collecting tray placed under the heat exchanger, and then discharged from the water collecting tray to an open drainage system.

Generally, the heat exchangers of the horizontal assembled air conditioning unit, the vertical air conditioning unit and the variable air volume air conditioning unit are all disposed in the suction section of the unit. During the operation of the unit, the discharge point of the condensate of the heat exchanger is at a negative pressure to ensure condensed water. The effective discharge is to set a U-bend of a certain height on the drain line so that the discharged condensate can form the high-potential motive force necessary for discharging the condensed water in the U-bend, and does not cause the outdoor air to be drawn into the unit. Serious impact on the normal discharge of condensate.
