Dry Cooler Supplied for Generator Cooling Project in Panama

Recently, our company successfully completed the manufacturing and shipment of a dry cooler system for a project supplied by a U.S. customer and delivered to Panama, where it will be used for generator cooling applications. During the design phase, the system configuration was carefully adapted to local climatic conditions and the operational requirements of the power generation system.

The dry cooler uses water as the cooling medium and features an integrated design combining both LT (low-temperature) and HT (high-temperature) circuits within a single unit. This configuration improves system compactness, optimizes thermal performance, and simplifies on-site installation and piping layout. The cooling capacity reaches 701 kW for the LT circuit and 1124 kW for the HT circuit, ensuring reliable heat dissipation under various operating conditions of the generator.

To meet the demands of Panama’s hot and humid environment, enhanced material selection and surface protection were applied. The heat exchanger coils are manufactured with copper tubes and black epoxy anti-corrosion coated fins, providing improved corrosion resistance. The unit casing is made of galvanized steel with electrostatic powder coating, contributing to extended service life in outdoor installations.

The power supply of the unit is 415V / 3Ph / 50Hz, fully compatible with the site’s electrical system. Prior to delivery, the equipment underwent comprehensive inspection and functional testing to ensure stable and reliable operation.
